Jupiter Artland

Why so sad little ladies? These pieces really were quite spooky. Set apart from eachother in the forest, and all in stages of weepy hysteria. The mind that creates such things - genius, manic? I loved how site-specific they were. They were just perfect for their surroundings, enhancing the beautiful space with a touch of melancholy, and fear.

Ah, every monkey's dream! This piece is apparently a map of the constellations.

Did anyone order an enormous hole to nowhere?

Ok, I know it's been a while between photo posts, but our internet is finally up and running again, so here we go.

This first group is from the trip we took out to Jupiter Artland - a sculpture park just a short drive west of Eburger a few weekends ago. It was one of those weekends where you try to fit too much stuff in, and as a result the Gods of Lazy Sundays felt best to punish us by slowing down the day slightly with a puncture. Sammy the Seat was not happy, and Stu was fuming. I decided to be neutral/giggly in the interest of keping things balanced.

The flatty meant we missed a Book Festival event we had planned to attend, perhaps ambitiously, a few hours after we left for the sculpture park. Oh well. Abu Dhabi and it's rags to riches story will just have to wait until ... let's be honest, possibly never.

Photis. Above or below? Either way - you know where to go. More coming soon.
