Who Knew Work Could Be This Much Fun?

A little joke to lighten the mood:

So they say this Mugabe guy's a terrible autocrat right?  Well I don't know about that at all, cause I watched that entire movie, and he wasn't in it.

Delivery is difficult via the medium of blog, so you have to trust that the above is a little gem.  There'll be more.

Went out a few weeks ago with work people on a well-deserved blinder after many months of ridiculously busy time.  Dinner, drinks and a comedy show.  The show started on shaky ground with a more than awkwardly unfunny compere.  It got better though, and I had a lovely time, made only slightly bitter by the earlier-than-decent wake-up call for my flight to France the next day - 4am, 3 hours after passing out (honestly, if it had been for anything other than a holiday, I would have told my alarm to fuck off, in no uncertain terms).  Without going into too much detail about French fun (that'll come later, hoping to nab a few photis of the trip from Bec... because I got a little ... complacent (yeah, that's a good word for it) at Voodoo rooms the night before and left my camera there).  So, no camera in France, but for better or worse, a camera at Voodoo Rooms to capture the magic, and miraculously, still at Voodoo Rooms 5 days later when I went to claim it:

Sporting an incredibly blonde do courtesy of a salon voucher ... Was not prepared for how very blonde this is on camera.  I stand beside Hairy harry.

Anna, (Harry's much prettier cousin) and I before things got messy.
The delightful AMK and my second chin catch up on old times..
John, Alan and Anna await dinner goods.

Shona and Dawn grin the grin.

Suvi Suvi, my Finnish compadre.

Random Ross et al.

The call sheet for this one read:  Anna and Kelly look pretty, while in the background, Ross goes for Oscar gold in a yet-to-be-named film based loosely around the idea of constipation.  Ha!  Loosely!  Get it?
The gang of many.

Harry does his best 'Sebastian'.
The loverly Michelle.  Me with fringe envy.
Harry ridiculously hairy hand.  He was disappinted when I showed him this photo - saying, 'it's way hairier in real life'.

My favourite photo of the night.
Another little gem:

So, Mugabe's supposed to be this really awful dictator right?  Yeah, but see, I don't know about that, cause I stood in for his secretary once, and he's pretty articulate actually.

Harry ruins another photo.

And another ...
Well, to be fair, this was a group effort.
