We'll start with the good news...

Well, we've moved, we've unpacked, I've relegated Stu's infinite supply of tourist knick knacks to a drawer because I can't stand the sight of them, we've battled over wardrobe space (only to discover we have ample, and that bloodshed was unnecessary), and we've taken a walk around the new neighbourhood to find some cosy pubs and restaurants we'll be trying just as soon as we have the cash!

We've also had a few minor setbacks - in the case of the fridge (warmer that the flat), and the shower (colder than a witch's proverbial) - but they are hopefully going to be set right very soon. Stu's away for the weekend doing outrageously stupid army manouevers, which leaves the house free for me to have the ladies round for a spot of wine and cucumber sandwiches (most likely sans sandwiches).

Speaking of Stu, he was offered another job a few days ago, so the pressure's off. It's not exactly the kind of role he wants, and the hours are not great, nor is the pay. BUT being able to pay rent is a definite plus, and he can accept now without having to start work until the end of the month, so if he finds something better in the mean time... It's a trainee agronomist role (don't ask me what that means, something to do with crops, cycles and (eep) pesticides). Yep, that's Stu, saving the corn, killing the planet. We're so proud. So not ideal really, but what can you do - desperate times and all that junk.

Just thought I'd keep you up to speed. Photis will come through soon of new place, but may not be til next week as we don't have internet at home right now.

Love youse!

all sounds good, or on the road to.

So what's the deal with the army stuff? Is it compulsary for the Scotts to do military service or is it a volunteer thing?

Good luck with the decor and ladies luncheon.

XO

No completely voluntary - it's just TA stuff (or OTC - I can never remember!)

Thanks Al, you're doing the baby thing in style!

Like I said Pipi, it's a bit tricky from work! I'll post some pics of stuff asap. Oooh, you're a demanding little so and so! How are the preps going for Dad's party? So sad I won't be there!

Mmmm, preps are going well: Dad wrote a list when he was here, because he forgot that things like "chairs" and "cutlery" might be a good idea.

Hahahhaa!!

I only nag because I care, know that.
