Hey ho, well I have met my karmic come-upance this week. After ranting on about all the exciting things happening, Stu and I have been sent careening back towards earth today. He had a meeting with his CEO today and was told that, unfortunately due to 'restructuring within the company', he's being given his months notice. Back to (almost) square one it is then.
Sorry for blatantly short, mournful post, but I only just got the news and am feeling a little deflated.
Hope everyone's doing well out there in blogland. We'll be fine, but October plans have to be put on hold indefinitely.

Oh, Mez. I am so, so sorry for you guys. It's hard-going out there, and it seems no one is safe anywhere in the whole damn world. I hope things turn around soon, and will always be here to send you smoked salt and any other pantry necessity you desire in the meantime.

OI!! Fricking fircking fuckles!! Bloody world financial crisis and related crappola. I know it seems like the end of the world, but (speaking from much experience with this type of thing over the last while), it is amazing how things often work out for the better. Stay positive and open to new and different posibilties and I am sure opportunity will come a-knockin. OCT is far, so there is time.

Thanks for the well-wishes and good thoughts guys. Had a great weekend, so all is not at dire as I made it out to be. Stu will find something else, I just hope it's something he wants to do.

Oh no, I am leaving comments back to front as I read your exciting grown up dinner news first. And now poo-town news. Really sorry to hear this, it is just shit with GFC stuff still hitting. I know you guys will pull through fine, but it's still tough. If it's any consolation, Adrian and I are both students again ( I am not even on Austudy yet), and it ain't pretty. But on the flip side, let us take comfort in not being the fat cats that are pooing on other people's lives. Good luck to Stu finding something new, and to you both for the big house move!
